Did you hear about the brand-new IMPACT Program by Karoly Windows & Doors? It’s an exclusive program designed to help homeowners make upgrading their homes with new impact windows and doors more affordable than ever before!
What is IMPACT? How can you qualify for it? What are the best impact windows and doors you can get with IMPACT by Karoly?
Read on to find out more about the IMPACT program and how it works!
What Is the IMPACT Program?
IMPACT is an acronym. It stands for the Install Mission for Protecting Across Communities of Tampa Bay. This is a special, limited-time program (currently set to expire on December 31, 2025) for homeowners throughout the greater Tampa Bay area.
How Do I Qualify for the IMPACT Program?
Karoly’s IMPACT program is available to all Tampa Bay homeowners whose homes meet several key criteria and provides some benefits for those homeowners:
- The Home Must Be a Residential Home. To qualify for Karoly’s IMPACT program, the building must be a residential home that you own.
- A Six Window Minimum. To get the discounts under IMPACT, a minimum of six windows must be replaced. The goal of this program is to upgrade homes for greater resistance to hurricane damage by installing impact windows designed to withstand hurricane conditions.
- The Home Must Be Within Karoly’s Service Area. Because IMPACT is a program administered by Karoly Windows & Doors, it is only for Karoly customers. That means that it’s only available to homeowners with homes in Karoly’s Service Areas (which covers Hillsborough, Pinellas, and parts of Pasco County as of the time of this writing).
What Are the Benefits of Getting My Impact Windows with the IMPACT Program?
So, why should you go out of your way to get your impact windows from Karoly Windows & Doors using our IMPACT program? Here are a few reasons to take advantage of our exclusive program:
1: A FREE Impact Door!
Qualifying homeowners who replace six or more windows in their home get one impact door, complete with installation service, free of charge. The door and installation service is up to a $2,500 value.
Homeowners can choose from one of six door styles for this offer:
- 3 Panel Shaker: A door with one large panel and two smaller ones for a distinctive, vertically-offset look.
- Smooth Flush: A smooth entryway door that has no panels. Ideal for blending in with existing decor.
- 2-Panel Archtop Plank: A simple, sturdy two-panel door with an arched panel over a square panel, with plank lines built-in to enhance visual distinctiveness.
- 2-Panel 6/8: A two-panel door sized for 6’ x 8’ entryways with two large panels.
- True 4 Panel: A four-panel door with two sets of rectangular panels that creates a sectioned look for your door.
- True 6 Panel: A door with six panels built in to add a visually distinctive look with simple, rugged construction.
You can choose any one of these doors to come completely free under the IMPACT program when you replace six or more windows in your home.
You can also upgrade these doors to replace a panel with a pane of impact glass (for an upcharge, the base door and installation is free, but the impact glass upgrade will be an added cost).
2: $500 of Each Additional Impact Door You Install!
After the first free impact door, each additional door you install in your home under the IMPACT program will be discounted $500 off the normal price. This covers entry doors, double entry doors, sliding glass doors, French doors, pocket sliding doors, bi-parting doors—basically every kind of door Karoly installs!
3: $75 Off Impact Windows
Under the IMPACT program by Karoly Windows & Doors, every impact window we install is discounted $75 off the standard price. This applies to our entire selection of impact windows regardless of manufacturer.
This helps to make replacing every window in your home with impact windows just a little bit easier to afford.
4: IMPACT Program Savings STACK!
With the IMPACT program by Karoly, you’re not relegated to choosing one type of discount on your impact windows and doors, then forsaking the rest. All of the savings under the IMPACT program stack, so you get to save more money the more windows and doors you install!
For example, say you want to do a total home window & door replacement to protect your home. If you have a dozen windows and three doors (two standard entry doors for your front door & garage, then a single sliding glass door for your backyard), your savings would be:
With IMPACT by Karoly, the more you replace, the more you save!
How Long Will the IMPACT Program Last?
Currently, the IMPACT Program is scheduled to last through December 31, 2025 for all eligible customers to help them get their windows and doors replaced with impact-rated fenestration ahead of the 2026 hurricane season.
What Else Is Included in the IMPACT Program?
In addition to the savings on impact windows and doors, the IMPACT Program includes:
- Free In-Home Estimate & Consultation. We’ll send a window installation pro to your home to assess your windows and provide consultation about the best impact windows for it.
- Free Window Hardware Upgrades. Get marine-grade stainless steel hardware for your new windows at no additional cost!
- Free Composite Waterproof Shim Upgrade. Shims help hold your windows level in the window opening. Get a free upgrade to waterproof composite shims that won’t rot like basic wood shims over time.
- Free Paintable Caulking Upgrade. Get a free upgrade to caulking that can take paint to better match your home’s interior or exterior.
In addition to these benefits, every IMPACT window and door we install will be covered by Karoly’s Platinum Standard Lifetime Guarantee. This guarantee includes both a lifetime (25-year) installation warranty and a double lifetime (50-year) material warranty for all your windows and doors.
What Are the Benefits of Performing a TOTAL Home Window Replacement?
So, why should you replace all of the windows and doors in your home at once with Karoly’s IMPACT program? Here are a few of the reasons to do a total home window and door replacement if you can (Aside from the stacking savings through the program!):
1: Energy Efficiency Improvement
Did you know that impact windows and doors tend to be more energy efficient than similar non-impact counterparts, when made with the same materials and coatings.
This is because impact windows and doors use multiple layers of glass and have laminate interlayers, creating a better insulation barrier than single-paned glass windows and doors.
With optional upgrades like inert gas-filled air gaps and butyl seals, impact windows can have a markedly better U-factor rating than nearly-identical non-impact windows (U-factor being a numerical representation of how well a window or door insulates your home).
These insulation-enhancing features help make your home more energy efficient by stopping heat transfer between your home and the outside environment. This means that, in Florida’s seemingly ever-present heat, your air conditioning system doesn’t have to work as hard to keep your home at a comfortable temperature. This, in turn, reduces your energy consumption, saving you money on your monthly electric bill.
2: Completing Your Home’s Protection Against Hurricanes
As the old saying goes: a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. In homes, the weakest link in your home’s protection against hurricane-force winds and debris impacts would be any non-impact windows that you have on it.
Even just a single window breaking can have catastrophic consequences for your home during a hurricane.
How? There are several ways in which a broken window can result in catastrophic damage to a home, but the one that causes the most immediate destruction is how wind loads acting on interior walls amplifies the force exerted on a structure.
When a window breaks, the wind of the hurricane starts pushing directly on the interior walls of the home and on the underside of the ceiling/wall connections.
This amplifies the total wind pressure acting on the building by adding more surface area being pushed on. Also, it creates pressure differentials between the room with the broken window and the rest of the home, which may cause warping of the building frame.
If the break is on the windward side of the home, the internal pressure may rapidly increase, bending the building frame outwards. If the break is on the leeward side, the drop in pressure may cause the building to physically ‘deflate’ bending the frame inwards.
As noted by FBi Buildings (a company specializing in farm buildings and repairs), the pressurization of the building interior can cause wind loads to be “3x greater” than it would be if the window opening remained sealed. This can massively increase the risk of total structural collapse.
By replacing all of your home’s windows and doors with impact-resistant fenestration, you can significantly reduce the risk of total structural collapse during a major hurricane.
3: Increased Security Against Break-In Attempts
Having impact windows and doors can protect against more than just hurricanes! Impact windows and doors can be a key security feature to protect your home against brute-force intrusion attempts, too!
With a non-impact window, a child with a rock can feasibly break it open, much less an adult would-be home invader.
However, impact windows can thwart intruders much more successfully than their non-impact counterparts. Even when using a metal baseball bat and full-on swings, a well-made impact window can survive multiple hits from a full-grown adult before failing. There are even videos showing would-be intruders getting tired and quitting before managing to do more than just cracking the top layer of glass of an impact window!
While they can’t stop all break-ins, impact windows can be the perfect deterrent against casual thieves and home invaders or buy you precious time to protect your family and call the police.
