Your electric company offers rebates for replacing your windows with high energy efficient windows. When you replace your home’s old windows with new windows that have high energy efficiency, the electric company will give you a check. Not only do you get the rebate check, you also end up with a lower electric bill due to an increase in energy savings from your replacement windows.
Despite what electric company your home is using, homeowners need to contact their electric company prior to the installation of your new vinyl impact windows. Click one of the following links to jump to the appropriate section for your electric company:
Make sure you contact your electric company prior to installation to qualify for an energy rebate.
Replacing your windows with Energy Star Rated Impact Windows will qualify you for a rebate of $2 per square foot of window area (maximum rebate is $400) on all east-, west-, and south-facing windows.This rebate does not include sliding glass doors.
Program for Replacement Windows Energy Rebate
- Homeowners must contact Duke Energy to perform a Home Energy Check and receive a recommendation for replacement windows.
- Get a FREE in home consultation with Karoly Windows & Doors. The Vice President, Brandon Shannon, will personally come to your home, measure all your windows, and discuss all your options. He will provide you with your estimate on your replacement windows.
- Sign your contract and make your down payment.
- Complete the home replacement window project within 24 months of energy audit.
- Permits must be pulled and the work must be inspected and approved.
- Fill out incentive forms and submit to Duke Energy within 12 months of installation.
- Installation will be verified by a representative of Duke Energy in Florida.

Replacing your home’s windows with energy efficient windows will qualify you for a rebate of .76 cents per square foot. As long as your whole house is cooled/heated and the windows and sliding glass doors meet the minimum requirements that National Fenestration Rating Council have for Solar Heat Gain and U-Factor.
Aquiring Replacement Windows Energy Rebate
- Get a FREE in home consultation with Karoly Windows & Doors. The Vice President, Brandon Shannon, will personally come to your home, measure all your windows, and discuss all your options. He will provide you with your estimate on your replacement windows.
- Sign your contract and make your down payment.
- Let our full time installation crews install your new vinyl impact windows.
- Obtain a copy of your NFRC report or the NFRC stickers from each window (keep them labeled and organized to know which label is for which window), copy of contractor proposal or contract, paid in full invoice or proof of purchase.
- Complete and Submit the Window Replacement Rebate Application within 90 days after installation.
- Write down the enrollment/confirmation number to access the existing application to make changes or upload required documents.
