Hurricane Weather: Let Karoly Windows & Doors Give you Peace of Mind.
Millions of Floridians were left with damaged homes in the wake of Hurricane Irma. Most homes were without power for days to weeks on end. We have received hundreds of calls from people all over Florida. People are asking: “What can we do to better protect our home from hurricanes and severe storms?” Our answer is always the same: “Replace your windows with impact rated windows from Simonton.” Not all windows are built equal.
Since 2001, home developers in Florida have been required to build homes stronger. They must be able to withstand hurricane-force winds no less than 111 miles per hour. Miami-Dade and Broward Counties mandated an even higher standard of 130 miles per hour.
Some areas still do not require homes to have high-impact rated windows or patio doors. You may want to consider upgrading to impact-resistant windows and doors if your home was built before 2001, or you are looking for better protection against the elements.
Impact resistant-windows and patio doors give you piece of mind by offering a much higher level of protection compared to ordinary glass panes. Protection not only from severe weather, but also from burglary and forced entry attempts.
Please see the video below for a brief demonstration of Simonton StormBreaker Plus® impact-resistant windows and patio doors. Give Karoly Windows & Doors a call today for your FREE in-home estimate with Karoly, the owner and contractor.
