Karoly Windows Celebrates Its 25th Business Anniversary

In 2001, Karoly Windows & Doors began with one man’s vision: To help homeowners throughout Tampa Bay get the impact-rated windows they need to make their homes safer from the hurricanes that frequently hit Florida. 25 years later, we’re celebrating our 25th business anniversary and all the milestones we hit along the way!

For over a quarter of a century now, Karoly Windows has remained dedicated to fulfilling its founder’s vision.

Celebrating Karoly’s 25th Business Anniversary: The Beginning

It all started in 2001 with one man and a dream. Karoly Szekeres, Karoly’s founder, had left his home country following political turmoil with the goal of finding a new, more prosperous, life here in the United States. 

Early on, he worked for big box stores that offered outsourced window installation services. And that’s where he saw his opportunity to make a difference and build a niche. 

During his time with the big box stores, he saw a consistent issue with impact window installations done by those big brands: the work was being outsourced to often-unskilled third-party contractors who didn’t know the first thing about window installation.

This led to inconsistent installation quality. 

In addition to this, many big box stores focused on selling the cheapest windows with the highest margins. They weren’t delivering what the customers needed, but were racing to the bottom in terms of quality and cost, selling as much as possible.

Karoly’s founder wanted to do things differently. He wanted to create a company that didn’t just sell as many windows as possible as cheaply as possible. He wanted to do right by the homeowners throughout Tampa Bay who needed high-quality impact windows installed to the best standards possible.

That’s when he left his job at the big box stores, bought a new truck, and started his own window installation company. One man. One truck. One vision. And it all became 25 years of premium-quality windows with top-tier installations.

Karoly Windows couldn’t be here today without the support of customers throughout Tampa Bay.
